Meetings Act
Meetings are open to the public. At the beginning of every meeting
there is a “Public Comments” section where residents
have an opportunity to speak to Council regarding agenda items under Unfinished and Special Business and New Business.
Residents will have a second opportunity for public comments after Unfinished and Special Business and New Business to present comments to or to ask questions of the City Council Members regarding general issues..
City Council Meetings:
Council meetings are held the 2nd & 4th
Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
Work Sessions are held the 1st. & 3rd Monday of every month at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall.

Open Meetings Act:
- All meetings of a public body shall be open to the public
and shall be held in a place available to the general public.
- All
decisions of a public of a public body shall be made at a meeting
open to the public.
- A person shall be permitted to address a meeting
of the public body under rules established by a public body.
- Notice
of regular meetings shall be posted within ten days after the
first meeting in each calendar for fiscal year.
- Notice of special meetings
shall be posted at least 18 hours before the meeting.
- Eaton Rapids
posts its meetings at City Hall, the Library, the City Kiosk
and on its web site.
